Turn!

Pandora's urn...
From which the darkness comes again
And how I burn...
Too cynical to call it sin
Society...
Always seemed to me as if myth
Despair I have...
Could never seem to bridge the rift

I can see that there's a chance for you
To escape the fate I've self-imposed
I know what it's like to dream
Don't let yours wilt and die like a rose

Lo! Don't turn out like me!
There's so much more that you can be
No, don't turn out like me
Don't put on chains, instead be free
Just don't turn out like me... at all!

Unceasing fire...
The reckoning is manifest
No fear of it...
It's been the path that I know best
Natural drives...
The millstone tied around my neck
Seek a new path!
For all the driven have no rest!

Lo! Don't turn out like me!
There's so much more that you can be
No, don't turn out like me
Don't put on chains, instead be free
Just don't turn out like me... at all!

"Government is instituted for the common good; for the protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness of the people; and not for the profit, honor, or private interest of any one man, family, or class of men: Therefore the people alone have an incontestible unalienable, and indefeasible right to institute government; and to reform, alter, or totally change the same, when their protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness require it." -- Constitution of Massachusettes (1780)
