Warfare and the Womb

The bumpkins go to Washington
believing that God sent them there.
Don't know much about governing,
but found a nice group for prayer

They make their superstitions
the subject of legislation
Building a cross of iron
for the whole world's subjugation

Blind guides would limit governance
to warfare and the womb.
But their shining city on the hill
is nothing but a whitewashed tomb!

What was never scripture nor science
became the central tenet that they've learned
A right to life, they protect tirelessly
only 'til the poor creature is brought to term

Their fetish for cleanliness treats
women as objects and love as hate
Can't illicit spasms privately
So it must be the domain of the state

Blind guides would limit governance
to warfare and the womb
But their shining city on the hill
is nothing but a whitewashed tomb

Blessed are the peace makers
and so they'll bomb til there's peace at last
And so they swallow the camel
even as they strain the tiny gnat

They claim moral authority
behind all they've set into motion
but the growing pile of bones
utterly refutes the notion

Blind guides would limit governance
to warfare and the womb
But their shining city on the hill
is nothing but whitewashed tomb

"Government is instituted for the common good; for the protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness of the people; and not for the profit, honor, or private interest of any one man, family, or class of men: Therefore the people alone have an incontestible unalienable, and indefeasible right to institute government; and to reform, alter, or totally change the same, when their protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness require it." -- Constitution of Massachusettes (1780)
